POPSIE

- our beloved pet (baby) for 5 yrs until she died from cancer - fast and furious - from benign (??) tumors from birth that ravaged her in a week's time - gone but not forgotten.

JUST THINKING ABOUT AFTERWARDS....

I battle bitter feelings for the stupidest of reasons. When the original "BIG LARRY" (my deceased husband / father of Tina and Larry) died - I begged all of the family members to contribute and he had the most lowly of grave-side funerals - but at least he was buried between a beautiful dogwood tree at his feet and another huge tree at his head and 2 plots over a young man from our church was buried. For 20 yrs I had to beg and borrow and plead - and even in the end - divorced but newly in love - I was the only one who could or would do this for my children so they would have a place to pay tribute to their father who is with the Lord in heaven. Me? I would like to be buried simply in the plot next to him for my kids' sake and Carey said it'd be fine and a headstone BATTON at top and below on the left LARRY J. and on the right GAIL L. and b & d mo./yr for each . HOWEVER, it won't be like that, when my time comes - the state will pick up my body by the coroner and be put in a mass cremation and discarded - ashes to ashes and dust to dust. Formerly I had made preparations - but WHY - just let the state take the $250 and be done with my earth suit - for I will be in Glory Land in my heavenly robe. I shouldn't let this irritate me but sometimes - just sometimes it does. My mom was buried - a lovely viewing and funeral - but my Daddy is remarried and who has or will ever "visit" her burial place. Such a waste of money. Carey will be cremated by the Navy and scattered out to sea with full honors. I sure do love him. I want to live many many more yrs with him. I only want to be buried next to my kids' father for their sake and no other reason. Stupid - I guess - #justsayin.....

Carey and I have had about 8 1/2 yrs together and every day is a time of JESUS, JOY, PEACE, LOVE, LAUGHTER, CHALLENGE, VICTORY !! When the PRAISES go up - the BLESSINGS come down !! May one and all be blessed !!

This Squirrel thought I didn't see him!

This squirrel was watching us at a park while we were spending the day relaxing. We were bird-watching, and watching this squirrel and his/her mate. They raced up and down and all around a tree. I have a little camera and took a picture of Carey's bike with the tiny squirrel hiding (??) behind it. With my fabulous DELL computer, I was able to narrow in and pic out this tiny critter. Now, isn't he just the cutest little varment you ever laid your eyes on?? Yum - Yum, looks like maw cooked up bread for dinner for him tonight!! LOL!

Popsie - my BIG 2yr cat - 36" - 15#

This is Popsie, our 2 yr old, female, spayed, cat. She was 15# on April 1st, 2006 and we just measured her from nose to tip of tail and from toes to toes stretched out and both ways she was 36". We are just average people with a pet cat and not up on the ways of getting such vitals on a cat. The vet said she is an American Domestic longhair Cat. She is now, at 2 yrs old as big or bigger than her father was when we first saw him and her head is almost as massive as his was. He was HUGE! Popsie, though, is a faker, I think most of hers if fur! This photo was taken about 6 mos or so ago, around Christmas of '05.
